All too often we let old calender entries and meeting requests accumulate in outlook resulting in the calender folder gradually bloating out of shape (and receiving the dreaded “your mailbox is over its size limit” message from the server)
How do you solve the problem of deleting older calendar entries and meeting requests in outlook – well here’s how:
Go to your outlook calendar folder. Click on ‘View’ in the menu bar, then click on ‘Arrange Bar’. Click on current view (as shown above) and click on ‘By Category’. You will see that all your calender entries now being to appear one after the another in a row wise manner. (If you can’t see which ones take the most space, right click on the column headers and click ‘Field Chooser’. From there drag the field named ‘size’ on to the column header.)
All you have to do now is to just select those old calender meeting requests and entries which take the most space or are no longer relevant and delete them. (Use the shift key to select multiple items.) And that about all it takes to delete older entries from outlook calendar.
